Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I found this book very helpful in explaining the different types of India music or genres such as devotional music, folk music, and classical music.I really enjoyed learning the ragas in the classical music section and hope to use some of this information for a live setting to play with others some day. These books are easy to understand, discuss a lot of important historybehind the country, India, as well as the history of the music.I feel these books are an easy way to get involved inn Ethnomusicology in a very inexpensive way that really allows you to see how closely related most music of the world is.
